Multi Engine Rating

A Multi-Engine Rating certifies you to act as pilot-in-command (PIC) of aircraft with more than one engine. This rating is essential for flying complex, high-performance aircraft and is often required for commercial aviation roles. It involves training to handle the unique challenges of multi-engine aircraft, such as managing engine-out scenarios and understanding the different flight dynamics.

Course Description

  • This is a crucial certification for pilots aiming to advance to airline positions or enhance their job opportunities in the aviation industry

There are several reasons a pilot might pursue a multi-engine rating:

    • Career advancement: It's essential for most commercial airline positions.

    • Capability: It qualifies you to fly larger, faster aircraft with extended range.

    • Safety: It provides added security with an extra engine in case of a failure.

  • If you have a private pilot certificate the multi engine rating becomes what is known as an “add-on” rating. Requiring only that you learn the differences and prove your proficiency in a new airplane. This can be achieved in as little as a couple of weeks through an accelerated program.

    • No minimum flight time requirement
